Ras el Hanout Burgers

Ingredients

Burgers

  • 1 Lemon
  • 1/4 Cup Mint Leaves
  • 1 Lb Ground Beef Substitute Lamb
  • 1 Tbsp Nomad Ras el Hanout Spice
  • 4 Hamburger Rolls
  • Sliced tomato, and arugula For garnish

Tzatziki, Sauce

  • 1 Cup Whole Milk Greek Yogurt
  • 1 English Cucumber, or plain Seeded, finely grated and drained
  • 2 Cloves Fresh Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Dill Chopped
  • Nomad Salt & Pepper to Taste

Instructions

Burgers

  • Set grill to medium-high.
  • Into a large bowl, grate all the zest from the lemon. Finely chop the mint leaves and add to bowl, along with the beef, seasoning, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until just combined.Divide into 4 mounds and shape each into ½-inch-thick patty
  • Grill burgers 5–6 min. per side or until desired doneness.
  • Serve on the rolls with Tzatziki Sauce and garnishes. Yum!

Tzatziki Sauce

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice and dill. Season with salt and pepper. Chill.
  • For some extra flavor, add some olive oil and some coarsely chopped fresh mint.

Notes

Tzatziki is a yogurt-based dip or sauce found in the cuisines of the Mediterranean and the Middle East. It is made of strained yogurt mixed with cucumbers, garlic, salt, olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs such as dill and mint.
